K9 Web Protection is a program designed to exercise parental control and limit access to unwanted content.

Features

Blocking of websites divided into 70 different categories. All categories are divided into dangerous and potentially dangerous. You can choose the level of protection, from the highest (High), which blocks almost all dangerous categories, to the lowest (Monitor), which allows access to any site, but all user activity is logged in the program. In addition, you can create your own custom level of protection;
The program uses Service-Based Filtering (a database filtering service) which receives and evaluates 25-30 billion requests daily, ensuring the most accurate content filtering database and confidently filtering out unwanted content on web sites;
Real-time dynamic evaluation. Allows you to automatically categorize a website that is not in the program’s database;
Any user, even without access to the settings, can send a request to the developers to include/exclude a certain site from certain categories;
Forced inclusion of safe search in supported search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo!, You Tube, Ask.com, A9, AltaVista and Orange);
Restriction of Internet access at a given time of day. Blocking is possible both by hours and by days of the week;
Blocking web pages by keywords;
Application of sound effects when visiting prohibited sites (namely, a barking dog);
Possibility to block the Internet for a specified period of time if there have been multiple attempts to visit a site from a banned category;
The administrator can enter a banned category for a specified period of time by entering your password, or completely disable this feature;
The presence of black and white lists. Sites added to them will always be blocked/allowed, regardless of the main settings. This feature can also be available to users who do not have access to other settings;
Keeping detailed reports on visited sites;
Possibility to automatically send reports to a specified email address if there is an attempt to hack the program;
